Driving Defensively
SA 101
Most accidents happen within 25 miles of home or office. Learning to drive defensively improves the odds that you will be better prepared should a "situation" develop while you are driving. AAA video and class discusion help keep us aware of good drivivng skills and techniques.
Mandatory for all employees who operate an agency vehicle and/or who use their personal vehicle in the course of employment. Attendance is required every three years.

Driver Improvement Program
SA 200
The driver Improvement Program is accredited through the Buffalo Niagara Frontier Safety Council. After completion of the course most insurance companies will decrease the liabilty portion of your motor vehicle insurance policy. Please check with your insurance company for specific information. This course also qualifies for up to four points reduction on your New York State driver's license.
The cost is $20.00 (usually $30.00 if taken through the AAA). This course is open to employees, their relatives and consumers. Attendees will receive a certificate of completion from the Buffalo Niagara Frontier Safety Council.

Fire Extinguisher Use

This course uses video training as well as hands-on practice for the staff to gain a level of comfort in the use of fire extinguishers. Review of the three types of fires and extinguishers is included.

Wheelchair Van Tie-down Training

Includes review of agency policy, viewing of how-to video, written quiz, and practice.
Mandatory for all employees who operate a wheelchair van.
