Self Advocates Graduate from Intensive Training Course

On June 23rd, thirteen Self Advocates graduated from an eight section training course offered by the Self Advocacy Association of New York State, called SANYS U. The Self Advocacy Group met two times per month instead of once per month, and committed to classes that lasted an hour and a half each. In order to graduate, Self Advocates had to create and present a final leadership project at graduation. Self Advocates were supported at graduation by friends and family members, politicians, and many people from Heritage Centers. Self Advocates did an excellent job with their commitment to the classes and with the final leadership projects and are proud of their achievements.

Congratulations graduates!
