Creating Opportunities for People with Disabilities

Executive Director's Message

Welcome to our new Heritage Centers website!

We are honored that you have chosen to know more about us. As an agency with more than 50 years experience delivering comprehensive services to individuals with developmental disabilities (and their families), you will find that we have a great deal to offer. We are an organization that thrives on the principles of passion, goals and teamwork.

We operate under a set of goals and values that keep us focused on the individuals we serve, while maintaining a work environment that allows staff to be as productive as possible. The following are a set of six goals that drive our agency and our operations:

  • To develop, provide and maintain quality services
  • To recruit and maintain a quality staff
  • To maintain fiscal stability
  • To increase consumer satisfaction
  • To increase community awareness of the organization
  • To use technology to support the well-being of the organization, staff and consumers

In addition to these six goals that are reviewed with the Board of Directors semi-annually, the agency has also adopted a set of eight values that govern our behavior with the individuals we serve, their families and with each other. These values are:

  • Honesty
  • Respect
  • Trust
  • Positive Attitude
  • Learning
  • Teamwork
  • Responsibility
  • Integrity

We truly hope that as you get to know us better, that you will see these goals and values in action and that it will set us apart from all the other human service agencies.

Feel free to become part of our world!

Michael L. Gross
Executive Director
