    If I buy a gift on behalf of a friend or relative, how will that person be notified?

    A:

    If you are buying a gift on behalf of a friend or relative (in honor of or in memorial of), you will be prompted to list the person’s name during the online check out process. When you receive your acknowledgment letter from us, we will also include a card you can send to your loved one, notifying them of the gift you have made.

    Where does my money go when I purchase a gift?

    A:

    100% of your money goes towards the item you purchase as described in the catalog.

    What if you raise more funds than expected for a particular item?

    A:

    In the exceptional case where donations exceed what is needed for a particular item, we will redirect funds to a similar item or program operated by Heritage Centers.

    Isn’t there New York State funding available for the items listed in the catalog?

    A:

    No. New York State will not provide funding for items such as these.

    A:

    We keep your information safe and confidential by using PayPal’s encrypted credit card processing system. Giving online is easy and it helps reduce administrative costs.

    Is my gift tax deductible and will I get a receipt?

    A:

    Your contribution to the Heritage Centers Foundation Holiday Catalog is deductible to the fullest extent of the law. Tax receipts will be issued to the donor for all donations, whether you bought a gift in your own name, or on behalf of someone else.
